The land development plan had previously been denied by township supervisors back in February.
A Dauphin County judge has reversed that vote and has approved the land development plan.
In order to proceed with construction, Prologis will still have to obtain permits from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protections and PennDOT as well as zoning and building permits from West Hanover Township, according to Dana Mitro, assistant zoning and planning administrator at West Hanover Township.
In February 2021, the property was rezoned into the industrial zoning district. Previously, some of the property was zoned agricultural and the rest of the property was zoned industrial. The land development plan was recommended by the township’s planning commission in October of that year. West Hanover Township residents came out to a number of meetings to protest the warehouse. They also held a protest near the property as well.
