The judge hearing Roy Moore’s defamation lawsuit in Etowah County against multiple defendants gutted the case in an order Monday and dismissed all claims against Leigh Corfman, among other actions.

The judge hearing Roy Moore’s defamation lawsuit in Etowah County against multiple defendants gutted the case in an order Monday and dismissed all claims against Leigh Corfman. The judge also booted five of the six counts against the four remaining defendants.
As for the remaining four defendants, the judge threw out five of the six counts for claims in the suit filed by Moore and his wife, Kayla. The lone claim that was not dismissed against the remaining defendants is for defamation. Counts that were dismissed were for negligence, wantonness, intentional infliction of emotional distress/outrage, civil conspiracy and loss of consortium.
