A jury in the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard libel case has reached a decision. The high-profile trial began in April with six weeks of testimony.

The jury came to the unanimous verdict Wednesday following 13 hours of deliberations. After six weeks of testimony, the came to a close and jury deliberations began Friday, when it determined that Heard is guilty of defaming Depp. "I’m even more disappointed with what this verdict means for other women. It is a setback," Heard continued. "It sets back the clock to a time when a woman who spoke up and spoke out could be publicly shamed and humiliated. It sets back the idea that violence against women is to be taken seriously."
Depp was not in attendance due to previously scheduled work commitments and watched from the U.K. The actor has beenat the artist's concerts overseas for the past few days, according to social media reports.
