A Ukrainian man recently rescued marsupials from a shelled Kharkiv zoo amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine and received applause from around the globe.
Park officials wrote, “This is very nice, because their enclosures, unfortunately, were repeatedly shelled. We believe that now they will be fine!”
According to Ecopark, they provided Kharkiv residents with food while evacuating animals to safety. In aThough, the park has been hard-hit by Russian shelling. Due to the strikes, officials wrote the main objective was to get the aminals out of the park, requiring the building of temporary enclosures in a safer place.
Though some employees were killed while trying to feed animals in their enclosures. Some animals are hungry due to the shortage of food.
