The staffer said she was walking home around 8:20 p.m. Thursday when the suspect pulled out a gun and said, 'give me your purse and keys,' according to a police report.
A staffer to U.S. Sen. Katie Britt, R-Ala., was robbed at gunpoint Thursday night in Washington, D.C., prompting the senator to call the incident “infuriating” and “completely unacceptable.”
The staffer complied and the suspect then took the staffer’s car, purse, laptop and other items before fleeing.Britt’s office could not immediately be reached for comment, but the senator said in a statement that the staffer is O.K.
