For more than a decade, Melissa and Johnathan Johnson’s lives revolved around their restored farmhouse-style home in Dawson Springs, Ky.
They held family game nights on their large front porch and the sound of their two children pitching horseshoes in the yard regularly rang through their tightknit neighborhood.that hit Kentucky and seven other states two weeks ago. Like their neighbors and other survivors, the Johnsons have bounced from one temporary home to another as they try to find some stability just as Christmas arrives.
