Kevin Durant Received 25 Percent Of 22-23 Salary From Nets One Day After Trade Request - RealGM Wiretap
Kevin Durant was owed and received an eight-figure check from the Brooklyn Nets on July 1st, one day after he formally requested a trade.
Durant's latest contract with the Nets includes the most aggressive early payment schedule allowed by league roles where he receives half of his $42,969,845 salary before the first week of training camp. In Durant's case, that means he was due a check of $10,742,461 on the day after informing Brooklyn that he wants to be dealt. Durant will receive the second payment of that amount on Oct. 1.Durant signed a four-year, $194 million extension in August 2021.
