“Really?” Charles replied. “Well, I’ll have to swap it with the one that I do.” The king has kept bees at his Highgrove Estate for decades, and the honey produced by its beekeepers is actually available for sale. In remarks before presenting the award to Dumbuya, the king praised the talent of the other designers he had spoken to during the event. “I’m sorry if I kept you waiting a little bit,” he said. “But there were too many fascinating young designers down there, who I know are going to be contributing an immense amount to the UK’s fashion sector, which we know is of immense importance all around the world.
