Kristaps Porzingis has ‘no issue’ with Luka Doncic, only ‘positive memories’ of time with Mavericks | townbrad
Porzingis called the idea that he and the Mavs’ 23-year-old phenom didn’t get along a big misconception.
“I think that we didn’t get along off the court,” 26-year-old Porzingis said of 23-year-old Doncic. “There’s no issue between us. We’re super-cool. We’d always hang out. And I would say that’s the biggest misconception. “It was it was a fun game from the beginning,” he said. “I think everybody had a bit more juice because of the trade and all that.
It’s been seven weeks since the Mavericks on Feb. 10 traded Porzingis to Washington for Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans. The Mavericks had flourished in Porzingis’ absence, going 16-6 entering Friday’s game, but Washington dealt a potentially crippling blow to Dallas’ hopes of finishing third in the Western Conference standings.
