A Boa dial replaces the asymmetric lacing of the Mutant, pulling three decoupled tabs over the top of your foot. We found that the tabs had enough adjustability to get the right placement over your foot, eliminating pressure or friction on sensitive nerves or bones where traditional lacing might cause issues. “When you tighten up the lacing system, everything tightens well and uniformly with no excessive bunching or odd shoe deformities,” one tester noted.
