Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) refused to respond to insults from former President Donald Trump while remaining hopeful about Republican chances in the Georgia senate race.

He also covered his own chances of reelection in a wide-ranging interview with CNN, revealing he is confident in his chances of reelection.

“The only time I’ve responded to the president, I think, since he left office is when he gave me my favorite nickname, Old Crow, which I considered a compliment and, after all, it was Henry Clay’s favorite bourbon," he said, giving his only comment on his feud with Trump. “I talk to him fairly often,” McConnell said, adding that he believes Walker will emerge triumphant. “I think they’re going to hang in there and scrap to the finish."
