For the last 15 years, the Annville-Cleona Kids' Chorus has taken its show on the road.
A group of Lebanon County elementary students walked out of school on Friday.The third and fourth-grade students from Annville Elementary weren't trying to get out of class. They had a special stop to make.For the last 15 years, the Annville-Cleona Kids' Chorus has taken its show on the road.Their destination: senior centers and nursing homes.'The group always does a themed program – something pop-related. Sometimes, it's Broadway musicals.
'These people are older and they don't get to see a lot of kids, so if they see one and they just have a little time to spend time with kids, it makes them more happy,' fourth-grade student Lucy Maulfair said.'They usually smile and sing along,' fourth-grade student Remy Donahey said.'The youthfulness of the kids is refreshing,' senior center manager Douglas Stump said.For Rowe, it's tough to pin down her favorite part.
