A reader urges the federal and provincial governments to provide more resources to address substance abuse in Saskatchewan.

It is wonderful to see that there will be action to increase such services as soon as this month. I am currently supporting mostly people who identify as Indigenous who are experiencing substance use issues and other behavioural health needs. I see overdoses on a weekly basis with my current employment at a non-profit in a position that I am well overly qualified for. There is an acute need for such counselling services, but I am unable to find such employment opportunities here.
