If a new recruit cannot stand to be yelled at or tested mentally and or physically for eight weeks, how can we expect a recruit to succeed in the active-duty military, where mental and physical toughness are essential? And, it seems to me,that an attrition rate of 6.8 percent is pretty good. Medical and law schools can have far higher dropout rates.
