Readers believe U.S. Ted Cruz’s anger over the midterm election is misplaced. Perhaps he should take a good look in the mirror.As a lifelong Republican, I was disappointed that the red wave did not materialize but just a red trickle. I feel there were several reasons for this, but there were three that resonated with voters.
The second thing that hurt Republicans was the Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade. This made a big majority of women very angry. It’s time for Cruz to lie on the sunny beaches of Mexico, regather his thoughts and plan his next political move. Presently, he is not a solution to the GOP leaders he has chosen to criticize.Sen. Ted Cruz, please take off your blinders. It was not Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. It was the GOP in general. I’m a 72-year-old informed voter in Texas. I do not see the GOP running on a platform worth voting for.
