Abbott speaks about the Texas miracle, but his contributions of unstable electricity as well as book censorship, forced pregnancies and potential criminalization of parents of transgender children seem more like a Texas debacle.Re: “’Just breastfeed’ not helpful advice for some — Formula shortage brings stigma, misunderstanding into spotlight,” Sunday news story.
So, has the will of the people been served? No. It’s not the will of the actual people but of their elected representatives who make the laws that must be served, it appears. According to the nonpartisan Gun Violence Archive’s national survey , last year there were more than 2,000 unintentional shootings with over 300 children under the age of 12 killed. Accidental shootings, the countless murders we see each night on TV and the now-routine reports of mass shootings combine to feel like a storm that we can see coming closer each minute, though we stand paralyzed waiting for it to hit.
