De Vinck has certainly created something beautiful in sharing with the readers how some of his own memories have influenced his writings. De Vinck recommends re-reading sentences in books we once underlined, like Flaubert’s comment inthat “There is not a particle of life which does not bear poetry within it,” can remind us of what we thought was important as young people.and was delighted with the memories.
