Readers celebrated Terry Flowers at St. Philip’s School, assistance following Hurricane Helene and “Smokey John” Reagan of barbecue fame.Terry Flowers, headmaster and executive director of St. Philip's School and Community Center, helps to educate the children of southern Dallas as well as adults from all over Dallas-Fort Worth who are interested in having an impact on the underserved area.Leadership is essential in any organization that makes a substantive impact on society.
Dallas and America are the beneficiaries of Flowers’ unyielding commitment to his faith and to helping others. In his 40th year at St. Philip’s, he continues to lead with dignity, guide with grace and inspire by example. It is a joy and privilege to know Terry Flowers, a true hero to those who see the potential in children and the hope tomorrow can bring to all communities.
We need more people like the Reaves family, who are color blind when it comes to loving God’s people.
