Get an OLED for as little as $799
With the highlight of the US sporting calendar, Super Bowl LVI, just hours away now, LG Electronics USA has announced a raft of limited time deals on its current range of OLED and QNED TVs.
These deals see LG knocking as much as $500 off its critically acclaimed OLED TVs, and as much as $1,000 off its cutting edge QNED TVs.
Included within the promotion are LG’s G1 and C1 OLEDs, both of which have won countless awards since their launch last spring. The G1 models use a new so-called Evo panel, which introduces more brightness than we’re used to seeing with regular OLED TVs to enhance their performance with high dynamic range pictures.
LG’s A1 OLEDs are included in the discounting, too - but gaming fans should note that the A1s only use 60Hz panels rather than 120Hz panels used in the C1 and G1 ranges. LG’s premium QNED LCD TVs, meanwhile, use mini LED lighting to deliver much better contrast than we’ve ever seen from an LG LCD TV before. Note, though, that while the QNED TVs can get brighter than even the G1 OLEDs, even with Mini LED lighting they can’t deliver local contrast with the precision that LG’s OLED TVs can.
