Singer’s admission into hospital follows the postponement of several tour dates due to a kidney infection last month
While details of Payne’s medical condition is currently unclear, it marks the second time he’s sought doctor’s care in recent weeks. Last month, Payne“This really is the last news I want to be telling you, but I’ve been a little bit unwell recently,” he said in a video message to fans. “I’ve been in the hospital with a bad kidney infection. We started rehearsals and I’ve just been advised that now is really not the right time to be out on the road trying to recover from this.
The postponed trek was to begin on Sept. 1 in South American and end in Mexico City on Sept. 12. In his message, he said he was following his doctor’s orders to “rest and recover.”
