Lightfoot’s presentation, delivered at Soldier Field to a group including top city business leaders, said her administration wants the Bears to stay in Chicago but also make improvements to the Museum Campus it sits on even if they leave. The first option would be to enclose the stadium with a dome.
“The only potential project the Chicago Bears are exploring for a new stadium development is Arlington Park. As part of our mutual agreement with the seller of that property, we are not pursuing alternative stadium deals or sites, including renovations to Soldier Field, while we are under contract,” the Bears said.
