She left at five years old, first to Peru, then Mexico, then landing in Cypress at 14 years old.
Hidalgo was photographed by the legendary Annie Leibovitz, whose Polaroid of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, taken five hours before Lennon's murder, became an iconic Rolling Stone cover. Leibovitz also snapped a pregnant Demi Moore for Vanity Fair and Cyndi Lauper's "She's So Unusual" and"True Colors" album covers.
