D.J. Hord worked as a Seahawks scout and assistant director of pro personnel.
The Chicago Bears haven’t been shy about bringing in former Seattle Seahawks this offseason, and that includes the front office. On Monday the Bears announced a slew of front office hires, including the addition of D.J. Hord as director of pro scouting. Hord previously spent seven seasons with the Seahawks from 2016 until 2023.
As described in the Seahawks’ 2023 media guide, Hord “assisted in the scouting of future opponents, coordinated free agent visits and tryouts, and monitored NFL transactions.” There’s a significant ex-Seahawks presence on the Bears. Shane Waldron was hired as their new offensive coordinator, with Waldron bringing over some of his Seattle assistants to Chicago, including running backs coach Chad Morton, quarterbacks coach Kerry Joseph, and offensive assistant Robbie Picazo.
