“Most people remember Mango from back home and we think that will make them more excited to see us here. We have 2,600 stores in 190 countries and now the U.S. is our planned focus,” said Erdwing Nieto, manager of Mango’s traveling store opening team.In the new store’s fall mix are geometric prints, turquoise, denim, leather pants and jackets and a convertible blazer with a feature that’s not in your closet.
A mannequin dressed in a “convertible blazer” is on display in the new Mango store on the first level of Galleria Dallas. The store opens Thursday, Sept. 14. Most prices are around $59.99 and go up to $699 for premium leather jackets, but there are also $12.99 basic T-shirts in the mix. The store is divided into formal fashions for work and events and what Mango calls urban where the looks are more casual and collegiate.The first Mango in Texas opened last month in Houston’s Memorial City Mall. Before yearend, Houston’s Baybrook Mall and two more will open this year in McAllen’s La Plaza Mall and San Antonio’s La Cantera shopping center, Nieto said.
Louis Vuitton plans to move into its former space that’s being remodeled by December. That’s also when North Italia, now under construction, is expected to open. Sometime in October, Bachendorf’s fine jeweler will move back into its expanded and remodeled space with a new Rolex shop.
