A Lorain County Sheriff’s deputy has been fired after he admitted to stealing money during an investigation into a man’s death last week, according to an incident report and the sheriff’s office.

CLEVELAND, Ohio --

The records do not indicate when he will make his first court appearance. An online court docket does not list an attorney for Hazzard. While deputies were at the home, the stepbrother of the deceased told investigators that a large amount of money was missing from a black bag, according to an incident report. The man said he was giving his stepbrother money for living expenses and the purchase of a truck.
