Los Angeles police impound 34 cars to combat 'takeovers.'

Additionally, the department claims that it has handed out 82 citations and 40 arrests in the operation. LAPD also claims that one of those arrests was related to a warrant for attempted murder. While the tactic to shut down the street exhibition scene in and around Los Angeles may be extensive, the department has a tall task ahead of itself.
