Making Strides against breast cancer set for Sept. 16 at Griffin Park at 10 a.m.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The battle against cancer is hard fought and it takes a whole nation to combat the disease. Fairbanks will be doing its part to fight breast cancer on Sept. 16.
At 10 a.m. Saturday morning, “Making Strides of Fairbanks” is hosting a strides against breast cancer walk. The walk will start at Griffin Park next to the Morris Thompson Cultural Center with the event ending at 1 p.m. The event is used to promote healthy activity and raise funds for the Americans Cancer Society. Whether you’re a participant or local business, all parties involved are welcome to donate to the cause. Organizers also say you can make a contribution even if you a spectator.Copyright 2023 KTVF.
