Police on Friday identified the 50-year-old man who was fatally struck by a vehicle in Absecon last week. Samuel Bayley, of Absecon, was hit by an eastbound Hyundai Tucson shortly after 6 p.m. Jan. 24 at Route 30 and Haddon Avenue, according to police. “Investigators determined the pedestrian was not in the crosswalk, which was a contributing factor in the crash,”Police asked any witnesses to the crash to call the department’s traffic safety unit at 609-641-0667 ext. 858.
