A man accused of shooting and killing two women, one of whom was his sister, was indicted by a grand jury after returning to Columbus.

Joseph Howard, 19, is now in the Franklin County Jail after being extradited from Florida. Police charged him with murder following a shooting that killed two women and injured one man at Double D's Pub in south Columbus on Sept. 14.Taya Mollette and Tavia Copley, both 24, were killed during an altercation at Double D's Pub on South High Street two weeks ago. A third person also was injured but was expected to recover.

A detective wrote that Howard went to Copley as she was on the ground and fired a second shot. Medics pronounced her dead at the scene. On Tuesday, a grand jury indicted him on one count of aggravated murder, four counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, three counts of felonious assault, one count of aggravated robbery, and one count of tampering with evidence.Mollette, the mother of three young children, met her fiancée in the eighth grade, and they had been together for 11 years.

Copley had a son who will turn two in January. She worked at The Cracker Barrel restaurant in Grove City, where relatives say she loved her job. Howard was arraigned in municipal court and given a $2 million bond. Now that he has been indicted, he will be arraigned again in common pleas court on Oct. 20.
