Derrick Thomas, a 27-year-old of Southeast, was killed Tuesday evening in Southeast Washington. A woman was killed before noon Wednesday in Northeast.
Police said they found a second victim outside a building with a gunshot wound to his lower left leg. He was transported to a hospital.Just before 11:15 a.m.
Wednesday, a woman was shot and killed in the 3700 block of Jamison Street NE, police said. By early afternoon, authorities had not released her identity nor any additional information about the circumstances of the shooting.
