A man is facing charges after he attacked his friend when she didn’t have BBQ sauce for cheeseburgers, court records show.
Darrius Robinson, 35, was charged Friday with battery by means of a deadly weapon and criminal confinement.He is in custody and held on a $4,000 bond. He is listed as homeless in court records.Gary Police were called Sept. 14 to the 4200 block of W. 23rd Avenue.
The woman, 23, told Gary Police that she was making cheeseburgers at 10 p.m. at her place for her friend, Robinson, when he got mad that she didn’t have the condiment.She tried to leave the room so he could calm down, but he blocked her. He grabbed and swung her around “like a rag doll”, according to court records.Robinson pushed her down the stairs, punched her multiple times in the face and tried to stab her in the back, according to the affidavit. The blade hit her buttock.
