Shakur A. Wright of Trenton charged with shooting his ex-girlfriend at a Hamilton gas station

Shakur A. Wright was arrested without incident on Asbury Street in Trenton on Friday by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Fugitive Unit. Authorities went looking for Wright after the 28-year-old woman was shot at the gas station, which is on South Broad Street, the day before. “A suspect was developed after the victim identified her estranged ex-boyfriend, Shakur A. Wright of Trenton, as her shooter,” Hamilton police said in their statement. The woman had obtained a restraining order against Wright, the statement said.
