Police have detained three men suspected of being involved in the incident.

San Antonio police investigate a shooting Tuesday afternoon at The Jax apartments, 12222 Vance Jackson Road.A man is in critical condition after being shot Tuesday afternoon at a North Side apartment.

Lt. Michelle Ramos said San Antonio police were alerted at about 4:30 p.m. to the shooting at The Jax apartments, 12222 Vance Jackson Road. A witness who called 911 heard a man yell: “I’ve been shot.” The witness ran outside to find a man with a gunshot wound to his leg.Officers who arrived applied a tourniquet on the man, in his 40s. He was unconscious, Ramos said, so police performed CPR until emergency medical personnel arrived.Witnesses said a black four-door vehicle sped away from scene going toward Interstate 10 via Woodstone Drive.

Police spotted a vehicle matching the description that was driving erratically along the I-10 access road.
