There have been three fatal shootings in Akron in less than a week.
In Tuesday’s shooting, officers were called to the home at about 10:17 a.m. They found the victim inside with a gunshot wound to the stomach. Police gave the man medical attention until he was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, but he did not survive.
Police say it’s believed there was a fight between the victim and the other man when the shooting occurred, but it’s unclear what they were fighting about. No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation.More crime-related content on cleveland.com
