Police said they believe the man was traveling southbound on Loop 1604 at around 2 a.m. near Military Drive when, for an unknown reason, he traveled off the highway into a grassy median and then onto the access road on-ramp.The man then lost control of his black Harley Davidson FLH and went into an uncontrollable skid before he was thrown off the motorcycle about 20 feet from where it ended up, according to a preliminary police report.
A passerby noticed the motorcycle lying on the side of the road and called emergency services. When police arrived, they found the unidentified man unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
