Daniel Garcia, 44, was arrested on Wednesday when he allegedly threatened to kill a Jewish family upon forcing entry into their Studio City home.
A man was charged Friday with three felony counts and a hate crime allegation for allegedly threatening to kill a Jewish family at their home in Studio City.Daniel Garcia, who turned 44 on Thursday, is charged with one count each of criminal threats, attempted first-degree residential burglary and vandalism with $400 or more in damage or destruction, along with an allegation that he committed hate crimes, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
'Garcia, possibly suffering from mental illness, acted alone and his actions appeared motivated by the victims' religious beliefs,' police said. 'In addition, it appeared Garcia may have prior contacts with the victims.'Garcia could face up to seven years and four months in state prison if convicted as charged, according to the District Attorney's Office.
