A man was shot to death Monday on a Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority bus on Cleveland’s East Side, the medical examiner’s office said.

David Kittreles, 21, of Cleveland, died in the shooting, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office. The shooting happened about 7:30 p.m. while the bus was near the intersection of East 30th Street and Euclid Avenue, police said. Officers found Kittreles on the bus with a gunshot wound to the head.Investigators determined Kittreles and his girlfriend were walking toward the back of the RTA bus where a man was sitting with his girlfriend. Kittreles punched the man and the man fought back, police said.The man who shot Kittreles arrived at Southe Pointe Hospital with a gunshot wound to the hand.
