An investigation is underway after a man was shot in the neck before his car was stolen in southeast Houston Wednesday, officers with the Houston Police Department said. hpd htx hounews kprc2 click2houston
HPD officers responded to reports of a shooting at the 5 Star Food Store located at 7302 Hurtgen Forest Rd. around 9:32 a.m.
Officers said when they arrived at the scene, they located a man with a gunshot wound to the neck area. The man was transported by ambulance and is in critical but stable condition, HPD said. According to investigators, it was seen on security video surveillance video that the victim pulled up in a pickup truck. He went into the corner store and came out. He was then seen walking away from his truck as his truck went into reverse and left the area, police said. He then fell in the parking lot.The investigation is ongoing.
