BREAKING NEWS | A man was arrested in connection with a deadly shooting last year in Arlington, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced.
On June 9, 2021, according to JSO, officers responded to an apartment complex on Townsend Boulevard, where they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. Police said the man, 32, was taken to a hospital, where died from his injuries.it appeared that the man who was shot was meeting with two other men in the parking lot of the apartment complexAccording to JSO, investigators identified Darien Howard as a suspect in the shooting death, and an arrest warrant was obtained.
Howard, 31, was located in Virginia with the help of the Newport News Police Department and was then extradited to Jacksonville, JSO said. He is charged with second-degree murder, police said.
