Officers responded to a report of a severed hand found on the sidewalk at 5th Street and Fairmont Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. Around the same time, a man in his 60s came into a hospital missing a hand, and said someone with a sword cut it off, said Riverside Police Officer Ryan Railsback.No other details were immediately available on Sunday.
