A man was fatally shot Sunday in Oakland’s Fruitvale neighborhood, authorities said.

When officers arrived, they found a collision involving multiple vehicles with a person inside one vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.Investigators who searched the area found what they believe to be the scene of the shooting that preceded the collision.
