For the second time this week, San Antonio police are investigating a crash involving a freight train and a pedestrian.– For the second time this week, San Antonio police are investigating a crash involving a freight train and a pedestrian.Officers who responded to the 911 call before 7 a.m. Thursday spoke with the train conductor who told them he saw a man standing on the tracks not far from W. Summit and Blanco Road.The conductor told them he tried, but was not able to stop in time.
This is the second case this week for San Antonio police involving a train and pedestrian.Early Tuesday morning, police found another man dead on a Northeast Side railroad bridge, not far from Interstate 35 and Loop 410.They said at the time that it appeared he had fallen asleep on the tracks, then got run over by a train.Copyright 2022 by KSAT - All rights reserved.Katrina Webber joined KSAT 12 in December 2009.
