"Today marks the end of a tragic case that rocked our community," District Attorney George Gascón said during a news conference."The senseless act not only impacted the Jacqueline Avant family, but an entire community."Aariel Maynor pleaded guilty last month to first-degree murder, attempted murder and several other charges, according to a release from the DA's office.
