Man, woman sought after authorities say victim lured into roadside trap, carjacked in North County [Breaking]
Authorities are hoping the public can help them identify a man and woman wanted in connection with carjacking a man who’d been lured to stop alongside a North County road last month.
She appeared to be in distress, so the man pulled over to check on her, Sheriff’s Detective Paul Brown said.When the victim stopped, a black Honda hatchback pulled up behind him, Brown said. A man got out of the Honda, approached the victim and pulled out a gun.The man told the victim to give him his wallet and money, Brown said. The victim told the suspect he didn’t have any money, but he could take his car.The victim was not hurt. His car was found abandoned a day later, Brown said.
The woman appeared to be in her 30s or 40s. She had been riding a purple and green Kent bicycle at the time.
