Head football coach and Athletic Director Jacody Coleman self reported that linebacker Elijah Barnes was ineligible to play in the first half after being ejected in a Sept. 15 loss to DeSoto.was the first to report the news. Mansfield Legacy head coach Jeff Hulme confirmed the reversal of the loss on Thursday to the Star-Telegram. The Bronco win will go down as a 1-0 victory.
Barnes is rated as the No. 14 class of 2025 linebacker in the nation and the No. 10 class of 2025 player in Texas by. The 6-foot-3, 225 pound line Raider has from Alabama, Baylor, Colorado, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, USC and more. With the forfeit win, the Broncos have won their first in District 11-6A. Skyline, on the other hand, is now winless in district play.
Dallas Skyline will face winless Mansfield Lake Ridge 7 p.m. CT Thursday at Newsom Stadium.
