Inside last night's book party for Nick Newbold’s new tome published by Sarah Andelman’s Just an Idea imprint.
“I love Nick, and I love fashion,” said Marc Jacobs over a banquet at Sant Ambroeus in the West Village. Jacobs was holding court over an intimate dinner party at the restaurant to mark the publication of Nick Newbold’s new tome published by Sarah Andelman’s Just an Idea imprint.
At Bookmarc earlier in the evening, Jacobs was wearing those very boots in black with an all-black outfit to sign copies alongside Newbold. Everyone from Christy Turlington to Anita Bitton turned up to cheers Jacobs, even Patou’s Guillaume Henry, who was in New York for just one day to take in the sights and meet Jacobs, “my idol!” for the first time.
Afterward, New York’s best dressed like Ava Nirui and Olympia Le Tan ran through the rain to dinner, where Jacobs, Newbold, and Andelman gave short toasts so as not to interrupt the flow of conversation. Many asked what Newbold and Jacobs’s next project would be: Now that they have a book and a short film...maybe a movie? Jacobs laughed, but, you know, you never know.
