The weather service typically sends out storm survey teams to look at damage reported after storms. Meteorologists use the damage to rate the intensity using the Enhanced Fujita Scale, which ranges from EF-0 to EF-5.
The weather service in its survey today noted significant tree damage in southeast Bibb and northeast Perry counties in the Oakmulgee Ranger District of the Talladega National Forest.
