Three members of a Monroe County family were killed when their vehicle was struck from behind early Thursday.
Pennsylvania State Police did not immediately announce information on the other vehicle involved.
Northampton County District Attorney Terry Houck on Thursday night would only say the investigation is continuing. ”It’s just completely under investigation,” he told. “This is a complex scene, as you can imagine, on Route 33 and, of course, with the tragedy of the deaths.” The northbound highway was closed for more than eight hours, with traffic detoured until about 9:45 a.m. onto Sullivan Trail then back onto Route 33 North at Route 512 in the Wind Gap area.
