First an Instagram comedy comic, then a Marvel Infinity Comic, the all-ages Marvel Meow is finally getting the print release it deserves.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT A series that started as a gag on Marvel's Instagram before being turned into an Infinity Comic series, Marvel Meow is finally being released in a print collection. Written and illustrated by Nao Fuji , the 18-issue series follows the Winter Soldier's cat Alpine and Black Widow's cat Liho, as they're left in Captain Marvel's care alongside her pet cat/Flerken, Chewie.
The 58-page collection has a new exclusive story, and a brand-new cover from Fuji, plus variant covers by Doaly , and Chrissie Zullo . The digital-only Marvel Unlimited comics are laid out to be easily read while scrolling on a phone or tablet, so the book is the first place this art will be released in full-sized glory.
The all-ages series also features fan-favorite characters like Gwenpool's pet, Jeff the Land Shark, joining the felines as they take on villains like Doc Ock and Sandman, on top of having mundane animal adventures. Marvel Meow started as a series of comic strips by Japanese artist Nao Fuji that were posted on Marvel's Instagram feed in 2019.
While Alpine, Liho, and Chewie kick things off, they quickly interact with any and all furry friends of Marvel. One issue features Spider-Man and Doc Ock interrupting Black Cat and her fuzzy thieves on a caper; another shows an all-pets party at Stark Tower that includes Lucky the Pizza Dog, Tippy-Toe the squirrel, genius cat Doctor Shapiro, and Inhuman buddy Lockjaw.
Marvel Meow Is Purrrfect For All Ages The physical copy allows anyone to enjoy the stories without worries of screen time or another subscription service . Nao Fuji's writing has minimal dialogue, and incredibly cute and evocative pictures, so while Marvel Meow can be appreciated by adults, it's a great graphic novel to share with early readers and young Marvel fans.
