Residents of Maryland can now put their driver's licenses on their iPhones.
The state is the second to add Apple Wallet compatibility to their driver's licenses and state IDs after Arizona started the feature in March.Marylanders can add their IDs to their iPhones by opening the Apple Wallet app, hitting the"+" button on the top right, and tapping the"Maryland State ID" option, according to Maryland's website. Users can then scan the IDs to import it, followed by a quick facial scan to confirm identity.
At least 30 states are exploring the option of using Apple's digital IDs, according to the company. Mississippi is expected to be the next, as some developers posted pictures of a TSA digital check-in station on May 21.
